One of the things every parent in this world has told their kids at least once - besides not to run with scissors and not call their grandmother "and old hag" - is "pay attention in school." No matter how uneducated the parents were, they always wanted more for their children.
Unfortunately, things don't always turn out the way you want them to, kids included. So all those hours spent doing hard work scrubbing floors or ironing strangers' clothes just so the little one could go to school were completely wasted. Because every once in a while, the kids leave to school, but on their way over there, get different ideas that make them skip classes altogether.

Not only do they miss out on all the things the other kids learn, but they also get together with bad sorts of people, older kids who tell them what's really important in life: money and respect, bro. Or, in this case, esse. Forget about school, it's the street where you get to learn useful skills that will help you get to where you want. School is for suckers who are willing to work for a monthly pay. These are the fools we prey on, OK?

Yeah, but what these guys won't tell you is that a smart, educated gangster, is always going to be higher up the hierarchy than a dumb, illiterate one. And there's a very good reason for that: he's less likely to get caught by the police doing stupid things, and you know why? Because he's not stupid.

These four guys from Michoacan, Mexico, were. They got arrested by the army after driving around in a cloned patrol car posing as policemen. They were armed and dangerous - well, they at least posed a great danger to orthography, which is also the reason they got caught. The side of their truck bore the official colors and logo of the SSP (Public Security Secretariat of Michoacan), but under all this it read "Police Michoacan. Divicion Force Rural."

The problem is, in order to make it into the Mexican Army, you need to complete a few classes. Enough to realize there's something fishy when the state police misspells a word on its vehicle, writing "Divicion" instead of "Division." The four men were stopped by the army and subsequently arrested.

So there you go, kids: no matter what career path you want to choose, make sure you pay attention in school because you never know when you're going to need the things you learn there.
