In early many we announced that Dunlop initiated a 30-day satisfaction guaranteed program for riders, and it looks like customers really appreciated this move. A second major motorcycle tire manufactures has devised a similar customer satisfaction program: Metzeler kicks off the Risk Free Guarantee, providing riders with 30 days to test their newly-bought Metzeler tires and return them for a full refund in case their demands are not met.
The Metzeler Risk Free Guarantee program is a proof of how confident the German manufacturer is when it comes to the quality of its tires, official sources say. The program was initiated to offer riders the chance to test Metzeler’s high-performance tires first-hand and convince themselves about their quality.
Customers have 30 days to return their newly-bought set of tires (one front and one rear) under the Risk Free Guarantee program. They will get a full refund plus the sales tax, but Metzeler adds that no additional fees, such as labor costs of state or local fees will be reimbursed.
Upon returning the set of tires, riders will have to provide a description of their reasons of dissatisfaction and sign the Limited Warranty Claim dealers will provide them with. The Metzeler Risk Free Guarantee is subject to certain limitations, as follows:
- Original Equipment (OE) tires are excluded.
- This offer is only valid on the original set of tires purchased and not valid on any tire replaced under warranty.
- Tires that are damaged due to misuse or misapplication, road hazards, and mechanical problems
related to the vehicle, use in any racing-related activities, professional or competitive events, or tires
that are removed from the vehicle on which they were originally installed, are excluded from this offer.
- Tires with 1/32” (0.8mm) or more of worn tread depth are excluded.
- This program is not to be used for ride (vibration, runout, balance,etc.) or other standard warranty
related issues. Tires with those issues are to be returned under the standard warranty system. Please see the “What Is Not Covered by the Warranty?” section of the Metzeler Warranty for further
details.
- Offer only valid in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.
