The Orion Custom Car + Motorcycle Show is part of a new two-day festival (Orion Music + More) created by notorious metal band Metallica and is curated by the bands frontman and iconic metalhead James Hetfield.
The inaugural edition of the Orion Music + More took place June 23-24 at Bader Field in Atlantic City, NJ, and Hetfield and the gang are already up for the second edition is scheduled for June 8-9 at Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan.
The initial motor show has comprised more than 300 customs, hot rods, muscle cards and custom bikes from all around the world, and was a huge success. Hetfield and Metallica are now readying the second edition which is expected to be bigger, better and why not, louder.
One of the major attractions on the hard side of music will be a special reunion of notorious crossover band Infectious Grooves , featuring Mike Muir (Suicidal Tendencies), Robert Trujillo (Metallica, ex Suicidal tendencies), Stephen Perkins (Jane's Addiction), Dean Pleasants (Suicidal Tendencies), and special guest Jim Martin (ex-Faith No More, filling in for original guitarist Adam Siegel).
Admission to this mad metal weekend including gigs, movies, BBQ and lots of custom cars and bikes is $150 (€115).
