Mercier-Jones Sporty Hovercraft Looks Awesome

While hovercraft have been around for decades, their development has all-but stagnated, in recent years. After they were ditched from military use, corporations probably discovered that there was very little demand for such craft and nobody really invested any real money in its development.
However, two cousins, Michael Mercier and Chris Jones have decided to change all that, with a very sporty and futuristic looking hovercraft which they claim will be very maneuverable, while also being considerably ‘greener’ than other similar craft.

Also, since maneuverability was one of the main downsides of conventional hovercraft, they have come up with their very own system of directing thrust around, a system which is currently patent-pending. The system will give the hovercraft steering and braking capabilities similar to those of a regular car (or so they say).

The finished product is estimated to cost somewhere in the region of $20,000, if it ever gets built, that is. They are currently looking for sponsors to raise $50,000 by August 22, to get the project rolling. We truly hope they succeed!
