Love him or hate him, Toto Wolff is the man in charge of the three-pointed star’s Formula 1 team. In addition to managing the outfit, Toto is also one of the best inspirations for motorsport-themed memes. Somewhat unexpectedly, even Mercedes-Benz is aware of the Austrian’s status on the Internet.
Take a good, long look at the cockpit of the EQ Silver Arrow concept, presented at the Monterey Car Week to much acclaim from the public. That’s Wolff in the far left of the digital instrument cluster, joined by a message box which reads “Inside Line! Push!”

Humor aside, the W125-inspired EQ Silver Arrow is nothing to scoff at. Instead of the classic car’s supercharged engine and 268.9-mph top speed, the concept features an all-electric drivetrain and 750 PS (738 horsepower). Energy comes courtesy of an 80-kWh battery, located right under the driver’s backside.

24- and 26-inch wheels with no less than 168 spokes for each one, Alubeam Silver paintwork, 5.3 meters long, and constructed from carbon fiber, the EQ Silver Arrow is out of this world even for a one-off created as a styling exercise. The interior is just as impressive as the exterior, featuring a secondary display in the steering wheel, laser-engraved stars on the seat and backrest, as well as the Airscarf neck-heating system.

Because the seat is fixed into place, the driver can adjust his position in the car by moving the pedals closer or further from his feet. There’s no word on the adjustability of the steering wheel, but then again, don’t forget Mercedes-Benz won’t put this work of wonder into production.

“But it’s so bad you can’t hear the sound of an internal combustion engine!” Oh, but the German automaker thought of this aspect as well. From the steering wheel’s touchscreen, there’s a sound settings menu with two choices: the three-pointed star's Formula 1 car or the Mercedes-AMG V8.

"Over 80 years ago, the historic Silver Arrows demonstrated that Mercedes-Benz was a pioneer when it came to speed, thanks, among other things, to their streamlined shape," said Gorden Wagener, design chief at Mercedes-Benz. "The EQ Silver Arrow show car draws on that legacy; intended for acceleration and driving pleasure, it embodies progressive luxury and provides an insight into the future of our design.”
