Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series by Renntech and Domani Motors

The tuning world is an environment where the horsepower virus infects most of the subjects that come in contact with it, with the “more power” disease constantly spreading. Let’s see how this tuning book rule translates into the real world.

Back in April, Renntech made contact with the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series, with the encounter ending in a 805 hp and 1,000 lb ft of torque madness (the values are offered at the crank).

That’s quite a stretch from the 6.0 liter biturbo (key word) V12’s factory stock figures of 670 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque.

Fast Forward to the summer: Domani Motors, a luxury and sports automotive dealer in Florida received a Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series finished in... pearlescent white. The dealer decided to call the guys at Renntech to take care of its newest vehicle. Said and done.

What do you think the Domani Motors showroom houses now? (you guessed it...) a 805 hp, 1000 lb-ft SL65 AMG Black Series (we’ll say it again: the values are measured at the crank).

To cope with the power attack the hypercar has been fitted with a custom limited slip differential that can lock up to 100 percent. The gearbox has also been upgraded. You can hit the jump for a video that shows the vehicle’s madness.
