Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series Awesome Sound

With the R230 generation of SL Roadster, Mercedes took things to the max with a Black Series model, which had on folding metal roof, less complicated steering and less gears, yet was more expensive than three regular SL 350s put together. We liked that one!
With the R231, the current model with the bigger, stranger headlights, the came with SL 65 AMG, stopping short of the lunacy. Yet the price tag for the Biturbo V12 is just as high and without the unreasonableness, it’s not really attractive.

“What unreasonableness?” - you may ask. Just check out this matte grey beast filmed by NM2255 in Monaco last week. The exhaust is pure automotive filth, and it’s no wonder that spotters are flocking to point a microphone and lens at this car. You can’t buy this sort of attention... without a lot of money.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
