We all know the saying "no rest for the wicked", right? Of course, but so does Mercedes-Benz and they are set on using it for the upcoming refreshed Mercedes SL roadster as much as they can.
They say repetition is the mother of all learning but from where we're standing, Mercedes-Benz are acting like they did their homework and some extra school work with the SL facelift. At least, that's what we get from the spyshots sent in by our carparazzi.
This time, the sleek roadster was spotted wearing Mercedes-Benz's traditional silver paint job, accompanied by white camo foils covering the front and the rear, while roaming around Stuttgart. Which is a bit disappointing, since we were expecting a more revealing view but given the high frequency of spyshots depicting the SL test mules during test sessions, we're confident we'll see more metal soon.
Since this is the second batch of spyshots we published in the last couple of days, let's not insist on the test prototype's appearance, because nothing is changed from what we already knew. However, the taillights are just a little bit disguised and show a new graphic.
However, this is a comprehensive facelift which means the interior is going to suffer some changes. Not major, but still, they will be present in the form of a new, bigger touchscreen display and a new steering wheel. Also, Mercedes designers mixed things up a bit and came up with a different button arrangement on the center console, but nothing that will get drivers confused.
Regarding the engine bay, we should see the recently-added SL400 version with its V6 engine, along with (hopefully) an SL 450 AMG, releasing a 367-horsepower arsenal from the same engine.
