As the numbers keep pouring in, we can find out exactly what manufacturer is most successful. It seems like Mercedes-Benz is currently trailing its main competition from Germany, posting a slight increase of 8.3% in June.
Over the first 6 months of the year, the Stuttgart-based manufacturer sold 694,000 vehicles, trailing behind both BMW (804,000) and Audi (780,500). However, Mercedes managed to grow by 6.4 percent in total sales, just as much as Audi.

For the upcoming months, BMW is expecting sales to pick up even more, especially thanks to new models that are soon to bite a bigger chunk of the market, like the LCI 5 Series and the new F15 X5.

"Additional new models such as the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo and the BMW 4 Series Coupé will also provide for further impetus,” said Ian Robertson, Member of the Board of Management, Sales and Marketing BMW, in Munich on Monday.

Mercedes also prepares new models, among which the CLA four-door coupe and the top-of-the-line S-Class sedan.
