Mercedes M-Klasse Facelift by Lorinser

The guys at Lorinser are keeping themselves quite busy as they wait for the body kit for the SLS AMG to be ready, and they meanwhile introduced the facelift package for the Mercedes-Benz M-Klasse, giving a sportier look to the luxury SUV.

That, of course, thanks to an aggressive body kit applied from the front to the rear of the vehicle. Aside from bringing the M closer to the tarmac, Lorinser added a four-fin grille, which ends on the lower edge of the fog lights, Lorinser-branded side skirts and wide wheel arches.

“Here the designers used a special trick: due to the components which have been moved much lower and thoroughly varnished, they brought the four-wheeler much closer to the tarmac,”
a company’s statement said.

“The strongly contoured front spoiler with the sports grill insert just above the underride protection strengthens the image of the steeled Autobahn attacker. At the same time round lines and curves break up the geometric front and provide an elegant note,”
the statement continued.

And since the wheels are the ones that create the physical and the visual connection to the road, customers are free to choose from a range of Lorinser light-alloy wheels, available both in black and silver.

The rear features a massive integrated spoiler with four tailpipes. Lorinser says a "startling whistle" is heard when the driver steps on the accelerator, regardless of whether it's a petrol or a diesel.

Unfortunately, the tuners did not work on a performance upgrade as well, but they do have a 2009 package for the ML 320 CDI that boosts the power output up to 261 hp and 580 Nm.
