Mercedes Launches Vito Shuttle, Crew

The range of successful Mercedes Vito vans will be expanded starting this month with the addition of two new versions of the model, Shuttle and Crew. Mercedes will offer both with a choice of two 4 cylinder CDI diesel engines, with power outputs of 95 hp and 136 hp, respectively and will add a 163 hp version of the same engine for the Shuttle variant only. Prices for the new vans will start at EUR21,290 for the Crew and EUR30,180 for the Shuttle.

The new Vito Shuttle, to be made available in three lengths, compact, long and extra-long, comes equipped with all the required features for passenger transport: two-seater bench in the first row and a three-seater bench in the second row as standard (individual seats for all benches), three-point seat belts, Isofix child seat anchorages and luxury head restraints. The Shuttle is also equipped as standard with TEMPMATIC air conditioner.

The Crew Vito, a model intended for carrying anything from passengers to luggage and materials will be available in two lengths, compact and long. It is equipped with two 3-seater benches, ADAPTIVE ESP, ABS, acceleration skid control (ASR), trailer stabilization with a trailer coupling and front airbags.

The Vito model is one of the most successful transporters out there. A Vito model, a 116 CDI, tested in February on the icy roads in Finland, was named by a crowd of journalists the best van on the ice, after witnessing the effects (or lack of) the cold, ice and snow had on the van and its systems.
