German automaker Mercedes-Benz has introduced another limited edition model in Japan, after the G550 Night Edition that was launched earlier this year.
This time, the Stuttgart-based manufacturer is offering the B180 compact MPV as the Northern Lights Black edition. Limited to only 250 units, the new vehicle comes with a unique purple exterior paint, bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, headlight washer, and folding mirrors. Inside, the Japan-exclusive B180 sports a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated seats, Easy-Vario-Plus and active parking assist.
As its moniker states, the vehicle is powered by the company’s 1.6-liter gasoline engine that delivers 122 HP and 200 Nm when mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The Mercedes-Benz B180 Northern Lights Black edition will arrive with a starting price of JPY3.36 million, which means about $33,500 at current exchange rates.
