Mercedes-Benz has just let its Facebook fans know that a few of its vehicles will be featured in the net dinosaur hit movie, Jurassic World. The star of the lineup will be the GLE Coupe, a brand new sports activity model with sexy lines and silver paintwork.
Because the GLE Coupe wasn't ready when filming started, Mercedes had to assemble a prototype by hand for the movie. They also took extra precautionary measures so that their design wouldn't leak out, by being photographed on set.

According to Mercedes-Benz Head of Marketing Communications Dr. Jens Thiemer, “We are delighted to have been able to support this epic action-adventure with our vehicles. Our wide range of SUVs in particular fit perfectly with Jurassic World's various requirements, with the focus on our new trendsetter, the GLE Coupé.”

Unfortunately, if you came here for dinosaurs and Mercedes-Benz, you'll be disappointed. All we have for you is a shot of the GLE in the forest and one where it's in the background, behind the girl who played Gwen Stacy in the 2007 Spider-Man movie and Chris Pratt, that funny guy who played Starlord in Guardians of the Galaxy.

People often joked that the Merc SAC is an ugly car so jokes like "kill it with dinosaurs" or "does it play the role of a dinosaur egg?" work very well. Jurassic World is about a new hybrid dinosaur that should never have been made, which you could say about the GLE Coupe as well.

Let's just hope the uber-masculine G63 AMG 6x6 also makes a cameo appearance. Because that thing could probably scare a Tyrannosaurus rex.
