When Mercedes-Benz said they plans to double AMG sales by the end of the decande, they weren’t kidding. Sure, the exclusive Affalterbach scale model collection they are launching probably won’t make it into the sales statistics, but hey, at least they’re offering more aficionados a way of grabbing a piece of the new Mercedes-AMG label.
Dubbed Mercedes-AMG Limited Edition White Series, the collection includes five AMG machines, obviously starting with a Gelandewagen. We are talking about the G65 AMG here, which is followed by the CLS63 AMG, as well as by the new wave of Affalterbach metal, namely the A45 AMG and the CLA45 AMG (the last two are offered in Edition 1 guise).
In case the recent designation changes brought by the Mercedes-AMG moniker haven’t confused you, the last piece of the series will, as we are dealing with a C63 AMG Black Series... White Series.
Regardless, the 1:18 creations come from scale model producer GT Spirit and depending on the model, include between 70 and 100 parts. The desk ornaments are finished in Designo Diamond-Bright White, hence the name of the collection. Look underneath the scale models and you’ll find an AMG plaque listing the individual numbering - like we said, these are limited editions, with the Germans only set to offer us 1,000 units of each model.
In a similar fashion to real cars, the scale models are already available for order, but the certain models will commence deliveries in January next year.
All the aforementioned details mean you won’t be able to grab one of these little AMGs for Christmas sweets money though, as each is priced at EUR119 ($124).
