Some people buy scale models, others would even wear hats with the brand on it, yet there are folks out there who need to get more to feel connected with the cars they love. This is probably what Mercedes-Benz thought when they decided to create a fragrance for men.
Called Mercedes-Benz Sport the new fragrance for men was launched recently and was created with the help of perfume maker Olivier Cresp. Top notes are mandarin orange, bergamot, galbanum and neroli, middle notes are nutmeg, violet and black pepper and base notes are cedar and patchouli. According to its creator, Cresp has created a concentrate of intensity and a true sublimation of the original fragrance.
The new fragrance reportedly embodies life and freedom, stimulating the senses to achieve the perfect sensation of that much needed “spice” in our lives. Why is Mercedes-Benz creating perfumes? Well they have an explanation on their website and it has nothing to do with the S Class, that was designed with a perfume dispenser system.
“Mercedes-Benz history in creating iconic luxury cars, defined by their sporty elegance, discreet design as well as technically advanced execution led the company to create a new concept beyond the car industry for high end products. It has been a natural step to extend this expertise into other luxury categories, starting with Mercedes-Benz eyewear, leather and luggage, furniture and other luxury goods.”
There you have it. Who cares if you can’t afford buying a new Mercedes when you can wear their perfume and smell good.
