Mercedes F125 Concept Previews Electric Saloon

Mercedes Benz chose this year’s Frankfurt auto show to celebrate 125 years of... itself, but the unveiling of the F125 left many wondering what it’s all about.
For a while now, Mercedes has said that it believes hydrogen is the way of the future, and is investing heavily into the technology. The fact that the F125 Concept is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell tells us that they are ready to bring electric cars to market.

A video that’s recently been released by the manufacturer proves that indeed the electric S-Class rumors are founded in reality. Mercedes say that the F125 ‘research vehicle’ proves that large and luxurious sedans also have a bright future. Even if the concept is not a sedan per say, the fact that they say it provides emissions-free driving in the premium class proves they are serious about the idea.
