If the thought of an E-Class Coupe with a twin-turbo V8 got you thinking of AMG performance, than stop right there because there isn't such a car. Speaking with Pistonheads, Mercedes product manager Gerd Junginger said that not having an E63 AMG with two doors a mistake.
The decision was taken long ago in a time when the German automakers still believed in niches and not having overlaps. They're going to make an AMG version of the next E-Class, but that will take another four years.
It's a real shame if you ask us, and this awesome rendering by Virtuel Car shows how wrong the decision was. With powerful arches, AMG wheels and exhaust, plus the natural looks of the E-Coupe, you just can't help but fall in love with this car.
The blue super-coupe is so nice that we need an official apology from Mercedes for not making this car. We're still rubbing our eyes, unable to comprehend why E63 AMG Coupe is not on the road!
Honestly, with looks like these, you don't need perfromance, but we know telling you the E63 AMG Coupe should have 585 hp is almost too much to take.
