Sports Activity Coupes – a relatively new segment that has boomed since BMW launched the X6 to great success. German rival premium brand Audi is hot on their tail, as rumors suggest they've trademarked Q2, Q4 or Q6 monikers and are likely to put them into production by 2018, following a massive €22 billion investment into new models and technologies. Mercedes is hot on their tail as well and are likely to offer both mid-size and full-size SACs in the near future.
We've known for quite some time time that the ML-Class is likely to get a sloping roofline version, assembled in Alabama. However, a new report from Car and Driver suggests the smaller and cheaper GLK-Class is going coupe as well.

The report suggests this model would be called the GLC and will share its underpinnings with the all-new C-Class. If the model is approved, it should be ready in early 2016, which means the BMW X4, which is coming out soon, will have beaten them to the punch by a couple of years.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
