With the A-Class and the CLA four-door coupe already for sale, and the GLA SUV on its way to becoming a production car, Mercedes’ A-Class family will gain yet another member, the company has announced earlier this week.
Speaking to What Car?, the automaker’s design boss Gordon Wagener admitted that Mercedes-Benz is looking to develop a shooting brake version of the CLA sedan. “The CLA is a four-door coupe as well, so why not do it?,” said Wagener.
During the same interview, the German company’s representative also denied rumors of a sportier A-Class model, claiming that Mercedes-Benz doesn’t need such a vehicle since “the market is declining”.
