Right now, Mercedes has a design lead on its Rival. You simply can’t find a bad angle if the light is right and the models are willing, something our own lenses found out when we tested the latest Mercedes SLK, the 3.5-liter V6, last year.
Now, everybody has their favorites, but the clean and strong lines of a Merc are known from Beijing to Brussels. There is one exception though, the E-Class which is going to have a major refresh soon to get rid of the silly little square doubled headlights and that over-complicated grille. Still, as HRE Wheels has proven, it has plenty of appeal as a wagon if you know how to make it shine.
For one of their latest photo shoots, the American wheel specialist took out a couple of AMG models, th CLS63 AMG in black and a white E63 AMG wagon in white. They play off the ying-yang theme well with the help of their custom HRE P40SC P45SC Satin Black wheels.
