Shortly after the all-new CLS Shooting Brake was revealed, Mercedes realized that it just couldn’t keep a lid on the AMG version and quickly brought the CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake into this world.
Under the bonnet is the same engine as in the regular CLS63 AMG, a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 with 57 PS (410 kW / 550 bhp) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque if you specify the AMG performance package. Let’s just hope BMW never decides to make a M5 wagon again, because that would be more powerful.
That’s enough for a 0-100 km/h time of 4.4 seconds, which is not bad for a car with up to 1550 litres of cargo room and that does luxury very well.
On the wagon side of things, the CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake comes with air suspension struts on the rear axle, as well as automatic level control. You can also order wood for the floor of the boot from the designo range, which sounds amazingly cool.
