Those of you who appreciate customer racing are set to receive a nice treat at the Frankfurt Motor Show, with Mercedes set to showcase the CLA 45 AMG Racing Series Concept.
Mercedes is thus introducing a new entry-level customer racing league and we’re expecting the CLA to get its one-make series after the auto show.

However, the Germans aren’t offering us any info for the moment, only posting the adjacent images on their Facebook page. Thus, we’ll let you enjoy the generous-sized aerodynamic elements until they release the specs. It’s interesting to see such extreme
body elements placed on the most aerodynamic car in the world.

In addition, Mercedes is also set to give us the CLA 250 Sport in Frankfurt. This will probably follow the mildly sporty recipe of the A-Class 250 Sport.

Here’s what Mercedes had to say: “Expanding the range of the CLA: take a first look at the CLA 45 AMG Racing Series concept car as well as the CLA 250 Sport, both premiering at the IAA. While the first provides a preview of a further customer sports racing car from Mercedes-AMG, latter sporty model of the CLA range might also be labelled "engineered by AMG". From the racetrack to everyday driving!”
