There has been a bit of variation in the small commercial vehicle market recently. Besides the usual family hatchback turned into vans, MINI is going to sell a van version of the Clubman, indication premium utility vehicles are possible.
But what about go-faster vans? In the past, ford has stuck the suspension and engine from the Focus RS into the Transit Connect. Some tuners have done thins to bigger vans, but there’s never been a production go-faster van.

Brabus has played with the idea, launching the limited edition Vito X. But why not something smaller, something much better in every way.

The new Citan, developed in partnership with Renault, seems like just the place to start. And the AMG division has just the engine for it, the new 2.0L turbo that’s going into the A45 AMG.

But such a car is unlikely to ever make it to our roads, so the van man inside all all of us can only dream of the lowered suspension, the AMG body kit and the huge wheels with sticky tires.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
