This year’s season of DTM racing will see a new BMW M3, a new Mercedes and a new Audi A5 instead of the A4 of last year. Tire regulations have allowed for wider tracks, so mire high speed actions will ensue.
With so many superlatives coming our way, the safety car will have to be something special when things inevitably go wrong. And it is!

When racing gets underway on April 29th, a brand new safety car will nanny the brutes - a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series coupe, their most powerful C-Class ever.

This will be a custom version of the road car, powered by the same 6.3-liter V8 engine with 517 PS and 620Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque.

Custom changes include the optional AMG Track pack, 19-inch AMG alloys with Dunlop Sport Maxx Race sports tires, carbon fiber interior elements, carbon fiber splitter plus rear wing wand diffuser.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
