Now that the latest luxury MPV from Mercedes-Benz has been launched and has also entered production, a humorous integrated launch campaign for the model has also started.
Focusing on print advertisements, a TV spot, an online video and an interactive web special, the Mercedes-Benz V-Class launch campaign is called “The new V-Class. Large as Life.” - most likely to emphasize the fact that it's both the largest model in the Mercedes-Benz passenger cars range and is also fit to cater for all the aspects of family life.

“The campaign is just as progressive and emotional as the new V-Class, and impressively reflects what the Mercedes among MPVs stands for: impassioned design with high perceived value, outstanding versatility and functionality, dynamic performance and exemplary safety,” says Nicolai Berger, Head of Marketing Communication & Product-Information Mercedes-Benz Vans.

“The V-Class underlines a stylish, comfortable and independent lifestyle. Thus the V-Class is the perfect vehicle for modern families, people who are active in recreation and sports, and operators of shuttle services. This versatility is the centre of the whole campaign and so we address different target groups in an emotional and individual way,” Berger continues.

A couple of weeks ago we showed you the video clip that spearheaded the campaign, but now it's time to also check out the TV spot, which advertises the V-Class in an even more humorous manner.

Even though the audio message insinuates that starting a family comes with an inherent loss of freedom and fun, the images show the complete opposite, therefore trying to relay the fact that the Mercedes-Benz V-Class distances itself from the old boring family car image.
