Mercedes-Benz USA Launches 4Matic Models Offensive

Mercedes-Benz has been known for decades as the only German manufacturer to offer rear-wheel drive almost exclusively on the US market, with the exception of the GLK, M-Class, GL-Class and the G-Class.

Times have changed, and, starting with this year, the three-pointed star has prepared a never before seen offensive of 4Matic all-wheel drive versions of pretty much their entire US model lineup.

Starting with the MY2014, there will be no less than a dozen US-spec Mercedes-Benz model that will feature 4Matic, starting with the recently-launched CLA and finishing with the W222 S-Class.

On top of that, the E 63 AMG, CLS 63 AMG and S 63 AMG models brought officially to the United States will be all-wheel drive only.

To celebrate the new additions to the model range, MB USA has put together two commercials praising the all-weather, safety and performance advantages of 4Matic all-wheel drive. Even though they include cars that will soon be replaced, such as the C216 CL-Class and the C204 C-Class, the next videos are all about the 4Matic system and its inclusion in the model range and not about specific models.
