Mercedes-Benz's UK branch has just released a sui generis feature for their market-leading Service App that will allow customers to choose a dealership and arrange their vehicle's service via their smartphones. The booking can be completed directly via the App in real time.
The feature enables Mercedes-Benz customers to book a certain service center, MOT, diagnosis and fixed-price repairs to suit each of their own requirements.
Four service option are available – Lite, Lounge, Drive and Collect:

- The Lite option gives customers the option to drop their cars between 08:00 and 10:00 and then collect it from 16:30
- Lounge enables them to book in and relax while they wait in a dedicated lounge area, with TV, refreshments, newspapers, a business zone with free Wi-Fi and even a children area.
- Drive offers them the option of bringing their vehicle in and then drive away in fully-insured loaner while their car is being serviced.
- Collect is the “all-inclusive” option, providing them the collection of the service car from either home or workplace, and a delivery once the service is completed.
