Mercedes-Benz UK Has Best Ever September Sales

September 2013 was the most successful month in the history of the Stuttgart brand in the United Kingdom, with every three-pointed star division available in Britain achieving best-ever sales results.
According to figures released by The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), Mercedes-Benz UK registered no less than 21,177 new models in September, which is a 28% increase compared to the same period of last last.

The numbers represent more than what the British division has sold in its first full year of operation back in 1985. The Year-to-date (YTD) sales are also at all-time record levels, with 85,956 new cars registered until now – up 18% compared to 2012.

The Mercedes-Benz UK market share also reached an all-time high, with no less than 5.3%.

Here are the entire “best ever” records achieved by the UK division of Mercedes-Benz:

Best-ever month for Mercedes-Benz Cars – 21,177 registrations; up 28 per cent on September 2012

Best-ever month for Mercedes-Benz Vans – 5,766 registrations; up 28.8 per cent

Best-ever month for Mercedes-Benz Trucks – 1,050 registrations; up 75 per cen

Best-ever month for AMG – 681 registrations; up 69 per cent

Best-ever quarter for Mercedes-Benz Cars, AMG and Vans

Best-ever month for Fuso Canter – 148 trucks registered, up 80.5 per cent

Biggest Mercedes-Benz market in the world for Vans in September 2013

Best-ever month and year-to-date for A-Class, with 3,584 and 13,114 new cars registered

Best-ever month and year-to-date for B-Class, with 1,601 and 6,028 new cars registered

Best-ever year-to-date for CLS, with 3,542 new Coupés and Shooting Brakes registered

Best-ever year-to-date for the C-Class range, with 25,665 new cars registered

Best-ever year-to-date for the E-Class range, with 22,719 new cars registered
