Now that the Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205 has been unveiled at the North American International Auto Show and the hate mail about its S-Class-like exterior design has started to lose intensity, it is maybe time to address Stuttgart brand's upcoming technology features.
One of the most important ones will probably be the so-called hands-free functionality, which will arrive later in 2014 on certain Mercedes-Benz models, courtesy of an agreement with the nice peeps at Apple and their “iOS for the Car” software.
In theory, iOS for the Car will allow Mercedes-Benz drivers to make phone calls, play music, go to maps or get their iMessages on their car's screen - or even dictate them eyes and hands-free using Siri.
Since both the new C-Class and the S-Class are getting a color head-up display system this year, you might not even have to take your eyes of the road to do all the above, which kind of brings us closer to the future imagined by the screenwriters of Demolition Man.
