Starting with tomorrow until September 8, Europe's leading trade show for recreation vehicles will take place in Dusseldorf, Germany. With camper van conversions from the Viano to the Actros or even the Zetros, Mercedes-Benz will pretty much be one of the Caravan Salon's highlighted companies.
Coincidentally, the Sprinter is the most used base vehicle for camper van platforms on the planet, from North America all the way to China. In the US, for example, the Germans deliver around 4000 camper vans per year to numerous leading fitters and body manufacturers, who give them a makeover, transforming them in either Class B camper vans or even Class C motorhomes (partially integrated/alcove vehicles)
Apart from providing camper van conversion platform for other companies, Mercedes-Benz also makes its own recreational vehicles, with the most famous and versatile ones being the Viano Parco Polo and the Viano Fun.
The all-new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter will also be shown at the trade show with a number of world firsts: it is the first van worldwide to comply with future Euro VI emission standards and the first van to feature an array of safety systems usually found on fullsize luxury cars.
