Starting with the 1st of March, 2014, Wolfgang Ungerer will start his new job as Director of the Marketing Communications department of Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars, where some of his duties will include Face-to-Face Communication, International Motor Shows and Brand Cooperation.
Ungerer actually started working for Daimler back in 1998, when he was a member of the “Associate Management Consultant Team, but has since jumped in the boats of almost every premium European car manufacturer - including Porsche and Audi - with his most recent job being as General Brand Manager for Jaguar Europe.

“With Wolfgang Ungerer we have succeeded in bringing back to Mercedes-Benz one of the automotive industry’s top-class, internationally renowned and highly experienced marketing professionals. Under his strategic branding, we will be able give an additional significant boost to our global growth offensive as well as to the opening up of the brand”, said Dr Jens Thiemer, Head of Marketing Communications, Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars.

After last month snatching an Audi designer, Mercedes-Benz is poised to both reinvent itself and increase its growth potential in the following years, as part of their “2020 project”.
