The third generation of the smallest roadster in the Mercedes-Benz range was launched back in early 2011, bringing a completely new look inspired in parts by the SLS AMG.
Almost three year laters, the R172 generation of the SLK is preparing to receive its mid-life facelift, even though we haven't seen a single camouflaged model announcing the fact yet.

Dutch image manipulation artist Remco Meulendijk decided to have a go in Photoshop at how the facelifted little roadster might look like in about a year and a half, when the real model is set to be unveiled.

Sporting new headlights with integrated LED “eyebrows” like on the new S-Class W222, Remco's SLK isn't too far from how the actual car might look, considering recent Mercedes-Benz design features.

A slightly reshaped grille and front bumper, along with new wheels should make for a more dynamic front design, while modified rear taillights and a new rear bumper with integrated tailpipes should keep it more in line with current and upcoming three-pointed star models.
