Mercedes Benz SL Night Edition, SLK Grand Edition Released

Now that the holiday season is behind us and nothing really exciting in terms of fun and partying can be expected in the near future, all that's left to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the spring depression which will soon engulf us all. Or, one could go and buy him/herself one of these: the Mercedes Benz SL Night Edition or the SLK Grand Edition.

The SL Night Edition comes with special design magno night black paint finish specially created for it – we know, not exactly the most cheerful choice of color...The dark, bad-car appeal of the Sl is enhanced by the 19-inch AMG five-spoke light-alloy wheels in a two-tone, high-gloss finish, who hide silver-painted front brake calipers.

On the interior, black nappa leather and shining chrome trim are the main characters of the plot, backed by "numerous fine details interacting to produce an intriguing effect."

The SL features newly designed seats with arrow-shaped seams and silver-colored features. The trim strip of the draught-stop has a high-gloss finish completed by the silver-colored vents of the AIRSCARF system.

The other special edition, the SLK Grand, comes in design graphite paint finish and features 18-inch light-alloy wheels with five triple spokes, silver-colored fins on the bonnet, headlamps matching the paint finish and a third brake light.

On the inside, the new seats come in basalt grey nappa leather, with arrow-shaped seams and design pearl leather on the side bolsters. The same leather is also used for the door linings, while the floor mats are bordered in the same shade of grey as the leather.

Both versions of the roadsters can be ordered starting now. Mercedes will charge, aside for the price of the car, an extra 3,700 to 5,200 euros (depending on the engine) for the SL Night Edition and 2,300 to 3,500 euros for the SLK Grand Edition. This is to be added to the 3,640/1,800 euros which are to be paid for the SL/SLK special paint..
