If you guys remember last month, and hopefully you do, we managed to grab the keys to a Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG and drove it like we stole it. Which we didn't. Steal it, that is.

We returned from the test drive with a plethora of different flavors of what the SL 63 AMG is really about, convincing us that it's probably one of the most complete sports cars on the planet.

Powered by a twin-turbocharged, 5,5-liter V8 that burbles at low revs and downright roars at higher revs, the not-exactly light but very sporty AMG roadster is one of the cars that can impress you in a number of different ways, especially taking into account its lineage as well.

We only got the chance to test the “regular”, 544 hp version of the model, but the Brits from Xcar managed to drive an SL 63 AMG with the Performance Package and various carbon fiber bits inside and outside.

The Performance Package translates into no less than 564 hp and 900 Nm (664 lb ft) of torque, which obviously gives the car even more oomph than the “regular” one. It's not all about the power and torque though, and you can find that from both our test drive and the Xcar video bellow.
