The Stuttgart car maker snatched no less than four awards at the Professional Driver Magazine Awards, including the coveted “Car of the Year” 2013 for the Mercedes-Benz E 300 BlueTec Hybrid.
Apart from that one, the three-pointed star hybrid also received the Green Car of the Year and Executive Car of the Year awards – making this hat-trick the first time that any car has won in more than one category at the aforementioned awards.
“The Mercedes-Benz E 300 BlueTEC Hybrid is a genuine game-changer. It’s really the car chauffeurs have been waiting for. It’s a truly green luxury hybrid car without any compromise to rear seat or luggage space. With so many blue chip companies demanding that their suppliers have eco-friendly credentials, it’s vital that chauffeur operators have demonstrably green cars on their fleets. Already we’re seeing many chauffeur fleets switching over en masse to this Mercedes-Benz E 300 BlueTEC Hybrid.” said Mark Bursa, Editor of Professional Driver Magazine and chairman of the judging panel in charge of the awards.
Along with the three prizes won by the E 300 BlueTec Hybrid, the Mercedes-Benz Viano 2.2 CDI Ambiente with long wheelbase also fon the MPV of the Year award, making making the three-pointed star brand pretty much steal the entire show.
