Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG (W221) Misbehaving Is Not Really That Inappropriate

When you think of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, racing - not to mention the so very ungentleman-like street-racing - is not the first thing that pops into mind. It's not even the tenth, to be honest.
That principle applies even if it’s the S63 AMG version we’re talking about. Yes, it comes with a pretty potent V8 engine capable of good acceleration times and high top speeds, but, let’s face it, nobody ever buys a car like this to take it to the drag strip.

Well, after you’ve had the car for a few years and you’ve begun to grow a little tired of it, you might begin to think about some modifications. Nothing big. You begin with “just the TIP” - TIP Exclusive, that is, a customization company that took care of this white example you’re about to see in this clip.

A few months and some thousands of dollars later, you’ve got yourself the most unlikely track weapon, at least as long as the track is a straight one. On second thought, scratch that, as the modified S63 AMG dispatches a chicane with ease and plenty of stability for a car its weight.

That means the big white limousine might do decently on a real track as well, but that’s something for another episode. Now, we get to see it perform a nice and short tires warm-up routine we like to call “a burnout,” just before it launches forward onto the track.

Then, it goes up against what looks like a heavily modified Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG with a color to match. The fratricide (or is the S63 AMG its father, who knows?) battle has a very clear winner that will not be disclosed in this text for obvious reasons. However, the next battle is another family affair, the S63 AMG going against a first-gen Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG.
