IMSA is the acronym for Individuality, Mobility, Style and Art and what better car could they have chose to emphasize those words than a Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG? The brutally powerful model just received the complete works from the German tuner and the results are incredible.
The style and class of the new S-Class cannot be doubted. It’s the best choice you have in its segment at the moment, leaving the Audi A8 and BMW 7 Series in a cloud of dust. It was also about time since the last two models showed so little differences between them. Now, the S63 AMG is a completely different kind of beast.

It comes fitted with a 5.5-liter V8 engine making no less than 585 HP and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque, plenty even for a car that adds up to an unladen weight of 1,970 kg (4,343). With such specs, it’s easy to see how it will do 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.4 seconds, in its rear-wheel drive guise. Get it with the 4Matic all-wheel drive transmission and that time drops to 4 seconds. That’s just as fast as the new C 63 AMG.

That wasn’t enough for IMSA, though. They took the V8 up to no less than 720 HP and 1080 Nm (796 lb-ft) of torque due to an ECU remap. Considering the 4.4-second dash to 100 km/h (62 mph) of the standard model, we’re imagining this one is closer to the results of the all-wheel drive version.

Getting just this upgrade will be only for number freaks but those looking for a new look will also be interested in the aero bits IMSA offers. They have a complete carbon fiber body kit that includes a front lip spoiler, aerodynamic side skirts and a new rear diffuser.

The wheels can also be changed with their own 21” forged alloy models for the complete IMSA look while inside the cabin you can have your pick out of their Alcantara and premium leather choices as well as carbon fiber or exotic wood trims.
