After having its most successful sales launch in history, the latest Sonder Klasse (“Special Class” in German) flagship sedan is off to a great start in 2014 as well.
Just three days into 2014, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222 scooped yet another award to put on its ever-increasing trophy wall, winning “Luxury Car of the Year” in the CarBuyer Car of the Year Awards.
“Mercedes has always been a byword for luxury and the new S-Class takes it to a whole new level. It manages to perfectly blend the very latest technology with traditional levels of opulence to produce the perfect luxury car.” said Steve Fowler, Editor-in-Chief of CarBuyer.
For no less than six out of the eight years that the previous generation has been on sale, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W221 had more examples being registered in the UK than any other luxury car.
The new W222 has already been a best-seller in its segment since no longer than two weeks after it officially went on sale in 2013.
