The all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222 continues to be a media darling in the 2014, managing to win a second Luxury Car of The Year Award in the UK, this time courtesy of the What Car? Awards.
The What Car? Best Luxury Car was won by the S-Class no less than seven times in eight years, confirming its position as the leading luxury model in the United Kingdom. These are not just empty marketing words, as the Sonder Klasse (Special Class) is the most registered car in its segment in 2013.
“We expected the new Mercedes S-Class to be good, but even we didn't expect it to set a totally new standard by which all other luxury cars are judged.” said Chas Hallett, What Car? Editor-in-Chief.
Last week we were telling you about yet another luxury car award won by the S-Class, only then it was given at the CarBuyer Car of the Year Awards.
All in all, the new Mercedes-Benz flagship has almost filled its trophy wall with awards in the last few months since its introduction, proving once again that the three-pointed star is untouchable in the luxury segment.
