It seems that 2014 has started with a heavy right foot for Mercedes-Benz, as quite a lot of three-pointed star vehicles are already filling their trophy walls with awards.
The Sonder Klasse (“Special Klasse” in German), for example, is already at its fourth award this year, and January hasn't even ended yet.
Both the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the legendary G-Class recently received an award each as part of an extensive reader survey organized by the German car magazine “auto motor und sport.”
With no less than 115,285 readers taking part in the voting, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class scored a very convincing victory in the luxury car category, while the venerable G-Wagen went for the number one spot in the off-road vehicle segment.
As a result, both models were awarded with the title of “The Best Car of 2013” by auto, motor und sport.
With just a day until January ends, we feel that there is still time for a Mercedes-Benz model to receive yet another award, as most of the current lineup consists of all-new or upgraded models that are taking almost every comparison review by storm.
