At one point, hydrogen fuel-cell cars were pegged as being the future of motoring but they have been overshadowed by the aforementioned ‘wave’. However, with Honda’s FCX Clarity and Hyundai’s recent trek of Europe from North to South in a hydrogen-powered iX35 using only the network of hydrogen filling stations(which was successful), we (and apparently Mercedes too) think that hydrogen is still viable as a fuel source to power us into the future.
