While all manufacturers seem to be on a roll, if we were to take a look at recent sales, production and revenue figures, so Mercedes-Benz would naturally exhibit the same trend. In the UK, this is reflected in a record-breaking six-month time frame, achieving their best ever results for the period.
One of the main figures which they are boasting, is the very impressive number of new cars bearing the Three Pointed Star badge, which have been registered in the first six months of the year, reaching a total of 47,245 units. This, along with their improving service quality, as well as the ‘kudos factor’ of the desirable badge, he ensured a significant chunk of the total new car market, achieving an increase over 2011 of 4.5%.

Another surprise is the fact that their AMG brand of, let’s face it, gas-guzzlers recorded incredible growth numbers, with registrations having risen by 150% as of last year - odd for a recession-torn Europe. Further boosting their sales are the soon to be replaced S-Class, which is still king of the luxury class in the UK, as well as the much smaller, yet very successful, C-Class which also registered significant improvements in sales and number of registrations.

When it comes to commercial vehicles, the Stuttgart-based manufacturer is also doing really well, with a decent 17.1% increase in registrations, in a van market which has declined by 7.5%, when compared to the same period of 2012.
