Mercedes Benz R231 SL 63 AMG Roadster Drops Jaws in Geneva

Satinated paintjobs, carbon fiber rear wing, black aluminum ally wheels, a carbon fiber and read leather interior, a factory fitted engine tuning package: you can’t say that AMG is a real tuning division, as they provide anything you’d want that’s in the realm of German sensibleness.
This car is the brand new version of the SL 63 AMG, and it’s one of our favorite Mercs right now. They haven’t messed about with braking the rules or reinventing the wheel, and just gave the market what it wants. About the only major change on the outside of the car is the rounded headlights.

But the R231 is revolutionary through its use of aluminum to save weight. The engine has also been changed from the 6.2-liter to a 5.5-liter twin turbo V8 engine that’s not only going to make the car faster but also more efficient.

This video we got from Youtuber Marchettino shows just a regular roadster with attitude, but you can’t ignore it when you’re looking to buy a drop-top with power and style. It will make any R8 Spyder drive feel a bit sill for using a mid-engined car around Monaco.
