Mercedes-Benz is well known for making excellent trucks, and now, following the revamp of their Actros and Antos ranges of trucks, they will introduce a new range of trucks, called Arocs. These vehicles will be specially designed for the construction industry, where they will be very useful, as they will have good off-road qualities, to cope with the often broken surfaces of large building sites.
The Arocs will be offered with a wide range of straight-six Euro 6-compliant engines, with outputs ranging from 238 hp to 625 hp. It will also feature a new type of transmission, called PowersShift 3, which is a sort of modern automated manual - it will come fitted as standard on all trucks.

A large array of different configurations will be offered, ranging from 4x2 two-axle versions which would be rear-wheel drive only, to 8x8 spec trucks, with all-wheel drive. There will also be seven different cabs to choose from, in 14 different versions.

It will also set itself apart through its modern design, which, judging by the teaser pictures will be quite eye-pleasing, for a truck, that is. It will make its public debut in April of next year, at the Bauma trade fair, in Germany.
