The W164 version of the ML SUV from Mercedes-Benz was the second generation of the luxury SUV model. The car depicted here is the North American-spec non-facelift model, built somewhere between 2005 and 2008 (when the facelift arrived) and its owner decided his ride might need a refresh.
Unfortunately, apart from a new quad-exit exhaust we are not aware of any other performance modifications this V6 M-Class has, but the exterior is certainly looking a lot more “show”.
Whether it is an “all show, no go” ride or not remains to be seen, but the overall look of the car is certainly that of a SUV you don't want to mess with at a traffic light.
The biggest design feature is obviously represented by the addition of a set of gargantuan 24-inch PUR 4OUR Depth wheel, but the Canadians from SR Auto Group also added a matte anthracite and lumiere grey color combination for the paint
Overall, the casual observer would never guess that a only “puny” V6 instead of the glorious 6.2-liter M156 V8 resides under the hood.
