Mercedes-Benz Markets The V-Class For Professional Parents

Being the largest MPV in the Mercedes-Benz lineup and the most luxurious MPV in the world would normally mean that the all-new V-Class should sell like gangbusters in pretty much every market.
The problem with that line of thought is the fact that the V-Class is actually quite a bit more than a niche vehicle, as the large MPV is actually targeted at a motley array of individuals and companies.

Which is probably why Mercedes-Benz first decided to launch a series of commercials which are dedicated to only one group of potential customers, with the rest of them to possibility follow in a little while.

The first target is obviously the rather large group of financially-independent parents of the professional variety out there, otherwise known in some areas as married yuppies (Young Urban Professionals, ed).

At least this is the main vibe that we got from watching the various characters in the following mildly humorous commercial for the new V-Class.

The footage below is actually a collection of a number of Mercedes-Benz V-Class ads edited to flow into each other seamlessly, with the end result being that the viewer has watched something cute, uplifting and maybe even made him want to buy the car being marketed.

Each mini-commercial in the collection is advertising a safety or a comfort feature that can be fitted to the new luxury MPV, with the entire package making it seem pretty much unbeatable – at least until all the options gather up to an S-Class price. All in all, we liked it. How about you, would you have advertised this type of car differently?
