Mercedes-Benz, the proud sponsor of the Fashion Week Berlin and other Fashion Week events, decided to make something in honor of the show's famous sound director.
As you know, fashion shows have music playing in the background, but who’s the DJ? Well, we just found out that the person responsible for the music at a fashion show is called a sound director, and Mr. Michel Gaubert is rather famous in this world for his work.

Recently, Mercedes-Benz made him even more famous by putting together a video depicting his life. As it turns out, the acclaimed sound director has a mini-me puppet, called Petit Michel. Apparently, the puppet is operated by Victor Yerrid, and the three-minute story shows their friendship and collaboration. Between Michel and Petit Michel, that is.

This isn’t the first video clip Mercedes-Benz has prepped for the Berlin Fashion Week. Last year, the German company did a profile of Justin O’Shea, who was shown driving a 1970 Mercedes-Benz C111.

Unlike the previous video, this year’s promotional clip for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin puts a fun twist on the fashion event.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weeks include events in Berlin, Miami, Istanbul, New York, and other cities in countries such as Australia, Russia, and Mexico. The one in Berlin is currently underway, its activity being scheduled between January 19 and 22. The event will host numerous fashion shows, where dozens of reputable designers will present their latest work.

The association between Mercedes-Benz and Fashion Week is pretty natural, because the Stuttgart-based carmaker is a premium brand, and its products are meant for customers who appreciate fashion and design. Rival automakers Audi and BMW also involve themselves in events that promote culture, music, and art. That said, not every carmaker goes through the trouble of inserting talking puppets in their promotional videos, so the one below could be a first for Mercedes-Benz.

In over fourteen years, he got behind the wheel of several hundred vehicles and in the offices of the most important car publications in his homeland.
