Is the real estate so appealing to premium carmakers that they just can’t help getting involved in it? Mercedes-Benz is the latest to unveil a partnership that sees the German luxury auto manufacturer designing rental apartments in London.
They have partnered up with the Frasers Hospitality Group, a leading international provider of luxury serviced apartments. Starting this autumn, visitors to London will be able to book one of six maintained homes that have been designed by Mercedes-Benz Style. The pilot project dubbed Mercedes-Benz Living @ Fraser will expand net year in Singapore with further nine apartments.

With this move, the premium automotive brand is looking to translate its expertise in cutting-edge design, innovative technologies and integrated transport its expertise in cutting-edge design, innovative technologies and integrated transport solutions to the serviced apartment sector” - Mercedes explains.

As far as we can tell, the automaker wants people to get a taste of the company’s feel for modern luxury without necessarily having to buy a new car. They are probably hoping customers will be so impressed by these locations that they end up buying a new car.

These locations may be inspired by the interiors of the company’s current vehicle range, but Mercedes also commissioned experts in hospitality decor to make sure each of their 50 to 100 square meter (538 to 1076 square feet) apartments gets the proper touch. Design partners Burmester and Swarovski have helped to come up with individual concepts that offer all the convenience, workmanship, and high-quality materials.

The concept unites flowing lines with sculptural furniture, blending seamlessly into an organic whole. Innovative media and entertainment technologies offer a multi-sensory experience. According to the automaker, the six London apartments that are located in Kensington, have around 100 square meters of space that includes a proportioned living and dining area, a fully fitted kitchen and two bedrooms.

The choice of furniture and accessories, as well as the varying color and lighting concepts, allegedly bear the signature of Mercedes-Benz Style designers. Feel free to consult the adjacent release for further details and the photo gallery for a closer look.
