Set to be unveiled in production form sometime next summer, the C190 project still has a handful of details that are yet unknown to the automotive media, but in these day and age there's at least an important info leak per week.

According to MB Passion, the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GT is sure to have an S-Model version, just like the current E 63 AMG and CLS 63 AMG.

The real bombshell is the fact that the supposed GT S-Model should also sport 4Matic all-wheel drive, making it a true competitor for the Porsche 911 Turbo, Nissan GT-R and the Audi R8 V10.

Personally, we think you should take the all-wheel drive info bit with a huge spoon of salt, as the C190 platform is said to be derived from the one used on the SLS AMG, which uses a transaxle layout.

Sure, it's not impossible for AMG engineers to pull a Nissan GT-R like all-wheel drive layout with a transaxle transmission, but it would most definitely jump the development costs through the roof, so we're not buying this information.
