American drivers will soon be able to get their hands on the new GLA-Class as Mercedes announced that the company will be launching the Mercedes-Benz GLA 4MATIC version will soon come after, sometime in the fall of 2014.
Customers can expect a wide range of connectivity and safety systems as the vehicle comes with radar-based Collision Prevention Assist Plus with autonomous braking, attention assist drowsiness detection as well as Distronic plus and Park Assist.

Performance-wise, the 250 version comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine that generates 208 hp and 258 lb-ft. of torque, going from 0 to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds and a top speed of 145mph.

Still, with all this horse power that doesn’t mean the car isn’t economical. It appears that the guys from Mercedes have incorporated numerous fuel-saving features such as turbocharging and direct injection, plus an ECO start/stop as well as a calculated aerodynamic design.

Moving on to the 4MATIC version, it offers customers a balanced vehicle, somewhere between fun driving and efficiency plus and off-road capability , all thanks to the all-wheel-drive system.
